FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transportation, namely to connecting steel pipes lined with polyethylene pipes by a permanent socket joint. Inner bush in the central part is fitted with a lug where a special collar with rectangular cross-section is mounted and serve both as a limiting and sealing one. Polyethylene is preliminary removed from the ends of the steel pipes lined with polyethylene pipes for the distance equal to the half of the limiting sealing collar width. A limiting sealing ring is pulled onto the inner bush lug and inserted into the preparatory ends of the lined steel polyethylene pipes with the following deformation of the outer socket. Middle socket lock presses the steel pipe ends into the collar and the junction of the connected pipes is fully sealed.

EFFECT: improving reliability of sealing of the connected pipes junction.
