FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and is intended for use in construction of pipelines from smooth pipes. Device for connecting smooth pipes comprises a metal case shaped as a cylinder where ends of the connected pipes are arranged. Symmetrically relative to the pipes joint between the inner surface of the metal case and the pipes there are installed: a central bushing, sealing gaskets and movable bushings moved by additional braces. Brace consists of two moving thrusts coupled by a bolt with a nut. Movable thrust is made as a monolithic L-shaped part consisting of two parts: a pusher arranged in the axial direction with a radial clearance between the tube and the inner surface of the metal case, and a lever perpendicular to the pusher with a conical aperture to accommodate the bolt. Surface of the bolt body transfer to its head is conical. Similar conical surface is made on the nut. Pusher end contacting with the pipe is equipped with transverse notches with sharp ledges from a material of higher hardness than that of the pipe. At connection of steel pipes there may be notches on hard-alloy base. Inner surface of the metal case at the ends is provided with notches with sharp ledges. Braces are placed in the axial direction uniformly along the circumference. Minimum number of braces in the device is two.

EFFECT: invention ensures interconnection of smooth pipes of the same diameter at simple design and without reducing reliability of the connection.
