SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the technology of recording on a high density recording medium such as Blu-Ray. According to the method, in the data structure for controlling playback of data of text subtitles, the region of information on text subtitles stores at least one segment of information on text subtitles. The segment of information on text subtitles is presented by one packet of elementary packed stream of transfer packets. In one version of implementation the segment of information on text subtitles contains an identifier, which identifies the said segment.
EFFECT: provision for efficient control and playback of subtitle data and graphic image data of a BD-ROM disc.
