FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention deals with design of frequency converters, transformer-type multipliers in particular, and is to find application as a power supply source for 50-400 Hz current consumers. The static frequency converter contains a three-phase transformer having four primary windings (joined up into two pairs) on its every limb. Each pair windings are connected in series. To the loose ends of each windings pair there are transistors linked, connected in parallel opposite. The windings common connection point and the common connection point of the transistors connected in parallel opposite are connected to the power supply source clamps. The first windings pair is connected to the phase clamps of the power supply source while the second windings pair is connected to the line clamps of the power supply source. The phase shift between the phase voltage supplied to the first windings pair and the line voltage supplied to the second windings pair is represented by a π/2 angle. Subject to varied transistor operation modes configured by the control system one provides for generation of fixed frequencies within the range from 50 to 400 Hz in the transformer output winding.
EFFECT: expansion of the converter output frequency range to be 50-400 Hz.
