FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to a method of continuous production of emulsion with a particularly narrow distribution of droplets according to size. The method involves processing at least two immiscible liquids successively in at least two mixing stages, done in a series of stator-rotor devices. The peripheral outlet of the first stator-rotor device is joined to the axial inlet of the next stator-rotor device through a pipe, in which the Reynolds number is greater than 5000. The initial section of the pipe is at a tangent to the circle of the rotor. The circular speed of each rotor is between 5 and 60 m/s.
EFFECT: minimal adhesion when forming emulsion, characterised by narrow distribution of droplets of dispersed phase according to size.
