FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be implemented for mechanical strength tests of rock. The essence of the invention is as follows: samples are loaded and simultaneously parametres of acoustic emission are measured; also measuring of parametres of acoustic emission is performed by two independent measuring channels, each of them records signals of acoustic emission incoming from corresponding to it and not interfering with another region of the sample; further there is calculated coefficient of correlation between values of parametres of acoustic emission recorded in the first and the second measuring channels within the ranges of the same moving time window; moment of change of sign of correlation coefficient from positive to negative is determined, and mechanical strength in the sample corresponding to this moment is accepted as strength of fore-destruction of rock.
EFFECT: facilitating early diagnosis of ultimate condition of rock corresponding to loss of strength at compression.
