FIELD: production processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed to compress and advance gaseous media and can be used in various industrial branches for gas production and discharge under pressure. To compress gas, a piston is used representing a ferromagnetic fluid (FMF) film that moves in a variable-section channel, narrowing towards pressure side and, acted upon by electromagnetic forces, compresses and accelerates the gas. Then, the gas, on getting along with the piston into separator, gets separated from FMF and, after passing through the final scrubber, comes to consumer while FMF is directed to the cycle start. The device to compress gas represents a set of consecutive plates the aligned variable-section inner orifices narrowing from the suction to the pressure side. The device incorporates the magnetic fluid sprayer, pistons former and device to separate gas from ferromagnetic fluid. The plate outer surface accommodates induction coils connected to variable voltage source.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and improved vibro acoustic properties.
