SUBSTANCE: device includes a piston in the form of a film from ferromagnetic liquid, a magnetic liquid sprayer and a piston shaper. Inductance coils connected to a pulse voltage source are arranged on the housing. The piston made in the form of a film from ferromagnetic liquid is located with enlarging thickness from suction to discharge, and on the inner cavity surface there is a groove that is located longitudinally from a suction zone to a discharge zone and has a profile in the form of a dovetail.

EFFECT: improving operating reliability during gas compression by eliminating the possibility of piston destruction in the form of rupture of film from ferromagnetic liquid as the pressure increases by increasing piston thickness at movement from suction to discharge.
