FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pump production. The proposed screw-type centrifugal pump incorporates an impeller with a hub fitted on the hollow shaft and the screw. The hub has through holes and houses an additional shaft with its one end supporting the screw that acts as a hydraulic turbine and a pump. The additional shaft inside has an axial hole running into the space arranged inside the screw and out of it. At least, one intermediate bearing is fitted between the shaft and additional shaft. Note that one or all intermediate bearings can be magnetic.
EFFECT: improved cavitation properties, higher efficiency.
