FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to automatic control of ship heading. According to the invention, the neural network regulator for controlling ship heading is made in form of an information-computer complex, containing an information-analysing unit for processing data with the objective of forecasting and generating ship heading, connected to a data collection unit and output unit of processed data. The distinctive feature of the neural network regulator is that, it also has two or more computer systems, each of which is connected to the information-analysing unit and can process data, transferred for processing from the information-analysing unit. The neural network regulator also has a knowledge base, connected to the information-analysing unit and meant for storing criteria for selecting the information-analysing unit of a particular computer system. The output unit of processed data contains non-visual devices for outputting processed information. The information-analysing unit comprises an intelligent classifier, connected to a user graphical interface, subsystem for controlling communication sessions with the data collection unit and subsystem for controlling communication sessions with the output unit of processed data.
EFFECT: due to possibility of choosing a computer system for processing data, there is provision optimisation of the neural network regulator.
