FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the negative electrode of an accumulator battery with non-aqueous electrolyte. According to the invention, the negative electrode has a layer of active material, containing active material particles. Between particles of the active material, metallic material is electrically deposited, with low capability of forming a compound with lithium. The surface of the layer of active material is continuous or intermittently coated with a surface layer, which consists of metallic material, similar to the metallic material or different from it, and has average thickness of not more than 0.25 mcm. It is preferable that the surface of the particles of active material inside the layer of active material are coated with metallic material, forming air-bubble voids between particles of the active material. The average thickness of the metallic material, coating the surface of the particles of active material, is preferably 0.05-2 mcm.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics.
