FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrode used as an anode or cathode in the secondary storage battery. In compliance with this invention, the electrode, in contact with the electrolyte, contains a pair of conducting front and rear surfaces and incorporates and active material layer comprising the active material particles and arranged between the aforesaid surfaces. It also has a multiplicity of minor pores open to the aforesaid surfaces and communicating with the said active material layer. This invention differs in that current-collecting layer thickness should make, preferably, from 0.3 to 20 microns, the said active material layer is formed by applying a conducting suspension containing the active material particles and the current-collecting layer is produced by electrolytic deposition.
EFFECT: electrode with improved cyclic characteristics.
