FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: proposed connector is meant for use in electrical communication, particularly for operative splicing of repeated use communication cables. In the casing of the connector, on each of its sides, there are tail nuts, joined to the case by a threaded joint. There is also a terminal block, with an insulation base and through-contacts, projecting from both sides of this base. The terminal block is placed in the middle part of the case of the connector. On both sides of the terminal block, a guide member and a clamp member are symmetrically fitted. The contacts of the terminal block are needle-shaped on both sides, and their mutual arrangement is similar to the mutual arrangement of current carrying conductors of the cable. Inside the case there is either a support cone-shaped surface, situated in the middle part of the inner surface of the case, or a clamping sleeve with an inner cone-shaped surface. The guide member is cylindrical and has a through-hole, whose shape on the side of the terminal block coincides with the shape of the cable, and on the opposite side, has a rounded shape, with diametre greater than the maximum outer size of the cable. The clamping member has two component parts, each of which is in form of conoid split along the axis.
EFFECT: provision for using the connector in field conditions without a special instrument.
