FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to end connectors for cables in a liquid medium and can be used in design of cable glands for tight connection of a cable line to submersible electric motors designed to drive submersible pumps used in oil industry for oil production. In the tail part of the coupling housing the "armor of cable-compound-housing" assembly is reinforced with setting screws, and in the through cavity of the housing there are cable ends passing through the holes of the support washer, which is installed in housing so that ledges made on its end face uniquely fall into slots of through cavity of housing, which leads to positioning of cable wires relative to housing.
EFFECT: invention provides optimized design of the coupling, broader functional capabilities and higher reliability of the cable gland coupling in operation for up to 6–7 years of continuous operation in the well.
