FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to electric engineering, specifically to electric connectors and can be used for multicore cables interconnection or connection with measuring devices used in nuclear reactors. Electric connector is performed as two shells telescoping into each other. Contact group of one shell is performed as rod on which electric contacts are installed which contacts are made in the form of mutually isolated current-conducting rings to which the cores of one cable part are connected, and contact group of the second part is installed inside cylinder and has a form of ceramic collars where resilient contacts are fixed. Resilient contacts has a form of turning around balls of current-conductive material to the sockets of which cores of the second cable part are connected. Cable connections are performed by simple inserting the rod of the first shell into collars of the second shell.
EFFECT: getting possibility to use connector in space-limited environment of nuclear reactor whilst providing possibility to connect or disconnect a cable virtually "blindly" in short period on time that is important for operation in conditions of neutron irradiation at nuclear reactor.
