FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sol-gel technology of sorbent preparation based on the gels of heavy metals (mainly zirconium, yttrium and lanthanum) oxyhydrates. The method consist of alkaline precipitation of metal oxyhydrate during 2.5 hrs under the action of UV-radiation with illumination 1500 lux, precipitate ageing, separation, drying and following granulation of end-product.
EFFECT: invention enhances the sorption capacity and the reproducibility of the sorption properties.
