FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to computer graphics. In the method object hierarchy (2D) of visuals and (3D) scene objects are joined for uniform processing for visualisation of (2D) images, including (2D) type of (3D) scenes on a (2D) computer display. The data structure contains an object tree hierarchy, one or more (2D) visual objects, and one or more (3D) link or scene objects, indicating (3D) model objects. (2D) visual objects determine operations which draw (2D) images. (3D) link or scene objects determine links, which indicate objects with operations, which together draw two-dimensional images of a three-dimensional scene, composed of one or more (3D) models. (3D) link or scene objects indicate (3D) model objects and the camera object. The camera object determines the two-dimensional type of the (3D) scene. (3D) model objects draw (3D) models and define grid information, used in drawing contours of the mode, and information about the material, used in drawing surface texture of the model.
EFFECT: provision for use of three-dimensional graphics in a two-dimensional image assembly system.
