FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used for compensating excess reactive power of electric power line and for regulating voltage therein within wide ranges in terms of transmitted power. Device consists of magnetic circuit with the main pin where the following is located: power winding consisting of the first and the second in-series connected parts, compensation winding, and control winding earthed to a control unit. By means of the switching devices when setting the above device to compensator transformer mode, the first part of winding is interposed in series of electric power line, and the second part - to the control exciting current unit. All the switching devices and control units are provided on fully controllable semi-conducting power devices, control winding envelopes the main pin, and to compensation winding there connected are upper harmonics filters.
EFFECT: enlarging functional capabilities.
