FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to agriculture. The method consists in optimisation of harvesting terms, in determining sums of average day temperatures from beginning of vegetation of licorice stalks to the moment of budding, in calculating hydro-thermal coefficient for the period from emerging of the first true two-three leaves on stalks to the moment of budding, and in calculating of forecast seed productivity. In early spring period on wild growing licorice fields or on licorice plantations there are arranged dynamic grounds by the method of "an envelope". Area of the grounds is 1 m2. Root mass is extracted from the layer 0-(0.5-0.7) m. Average age of licorice association is established by annual rings on cuts of roots. Average number of vegetation sprouts with blossom clusters and number of branches of the first and the second order with buds are evaluated in the period of budding on adjacent to the dynamic grounds areas. Forecast seed production of licorice is determined according to formula:

EFFECT: method facilitates increased accuracy of forecast for seed production of licorice bare and Ural licorice.
