FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: device for destruction of ice cover is arranged in the form of icebreaker attachment and has traction rods for installation of icebreaker attachment in vessel fore part. Device comprises at least two containers created by walls and bottom. In every container there is partition installed, which divides it into two areas: working area and floatation control area. On container walls pumps are installed for water pumping in these areas and out of them. Edges of container side walls in this device may be sharpened. It is reasonable to install grate above partition in this device. Length of such device may exceed vessel width. Front wall of containers in this device, which is distant from vessel, may be arranged as salient. Upper edges of front wall and back wall, which is closer to vessel, in containers of such device may be equipped with skids.
EFFECT: more efficient destruction of ice cover.
