FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: in piston groove, several compression rings are installed with lock cuts arranged at the angle of 180° relative to each other. On surfaces of internal ring diametres, sealing expander-ring is installed, having upper and lower collars that enter appropriate annular cavities arranged at the bottom of piston groove. Upper end surface of upper cavity lies in the same plane with upper shelf of piston groove, and lower end surface of lower cavity lies in the same plane with its lower shelf. Between bottom of piston groove and sealing expander-ring, labyrinth seal is arranged, which reduces breakthroughs of compressed air and working gas from cylinder to engine tray, penetration of soot and varnish at "outlet" stroke, and motor oil at "inlet" stroke to near-bottom cavity of piston groove, thus providing for efficient sealing between piston and cylinder.
EFFECT: increased capacity and resource of engine.
