ANAMORPHOTIC SYSTEM FOR READING PAPILLARY PATTERNS OF OUTERMOST PHALANGES AND METHOD OF USING SAID SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G06K9/00 G06K9/58 G06T1/00

Abstract RU 2361271 C1

FIELD: physics; alarm.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reading and transferring images of papillary patterns of outermost phalanges and can be used in automated biometric information systems for person identification. The said anamorphotic system for reading papillary patterns comprises monochromated radiation sources (RS) and additional sources (AS) of radiation, an optical system (OS) with an objective lens provided with an aperture diaphragm and an optical element (OE) for applying the outermost phalanx and a multielement photodetector (MP). One of the surfaces of the optical element is reflective, spherical and cambered outwards. The multielement photodetector is connected to a controller and inclined with respect to the optical axis. The radiation source and additional radiation source are embodied such that they are hardware-device-controlled and make it possible to receive radiation with uniform illumination and contrast of images. The direction of radiation during passage through the optical element to optical system on the surface with papillary patterns is projected on the multielement photodetector on an area where a papillary line directly contacts the working surface of the optical element, thereby initiating a signal intensity which is greater than that of the area devoid of a direct contact. The additional radiation source and radiation source are periodically actuated.

EFFECT: increase in quality of initial data, input into the person identification system; increase in uniformity of illumination and contrast of different images of papillary patterns; reduction of polychromatic distortions and cost of the system.
