FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering and deals with the system of superconducting d.c. cable designing. According to the invention, the system includes the first correlation computation unit used for designing superconducting d.c. cable. The said cable is provided with a conducting layer and external conducting layer being placed above the conducting layer through the insulation layer. The said unit is used to calculate the dependence between the ratio of winding Xf diametre and winding pace in superconducting cable, i.e. conducting layer and Cf value of diametre decrease, which absorbs thermal contraction of superconducting cable during cooling. The second correlation computation units is used to calculate dependences between Xf ratio and Ufx ratio of the used quantity of superconducting cable in conducting layer per one unit of cable length. The system includes also the first selection unit to retrieve data on superconducting cable winding diametre and pace, meeting the preset value Cfs of diametre decrease and Ufxs ratio of the used quantity of superconducting layer. The above mentioned data are taken as a result of calculations made by the first and second units of correlations computation.
EFFECT: dc superconducting layer designing system where superconducting cable contraction resulting from cooling can be absorbed and number of used superconducting cables can be reduced as much as possible.
