METHOD AND DEVICE TO UNLOAD LONG RAILS FROM RAILWAY VEHICLES Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B65G67/02 E01B29/17 

FIELD: railway construction.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device designed to unload long rails from railway vehicle (10), on the go on rail bed, comprises frame (14) with rimmed wheels (22), and couplers to joint the said frame and vehicle together. The said frame is equipped with gantry crane (40) moving on it parallel to rail bed and furnished with boom (52) that has carrying hook to grip rails on the railway vehicle. The said frame comprises at least one guiding box (76) with mechanical drive to deliver rails from the said vehicle, via the guiding box, onto rail bed. The proposed method consists in that rails are fed through the said guiding boxes onto rail bed when the train runs at the same speed, the rails are fed back at. Railway vehicle features the wheels that can be lifted above the railway to allow towing it to railway construction site.

EFFECT: reduced labour input and risks of injuries.
