FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to test bench equipment that provides for ground practicing of high-altitude rocket engines in conditions that are close to flight conditions. Diffuser for testing of rocket engines with nozzles of alternate expansion comprises profiled inlet narrowing section, cylindrical neck and expanding outlet section. Onto cylindrical neck of diffuser, shell is installed telescopically, passing through tight groove arranged in the wall of inlet profiled section of diffuser and connected to drive.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify, cheapen and accelerate creation of test benches for testing of alternate expansion nozzles due to exclusion of pumping devices or considerable reduction of their demand power.
