FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method of evaluating quality of cotyledonous seeds involves sprouting seeds in a germinator and evaluation of their quality. The seeds sprout in a period of 7-8 days depending on the type of the crop in the germinator, the walls of which have the same height as the optimum sowing depth. The seeds are put into cells of the germinator with openings in the top part, the size of which is smaller than the size of the cotyledon. Sprouts that have grown beyond the edge of the germinator are counted. Quality is evaluated by determining the sowing rate using a defined relationship.
EFFECT: higher quality of evaluating cotyledonous seeds.
