FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: electrogastroenterocolonography is performed. Enterogram shows the peak amplitude of gastrointestinal parts contractions. If the peak amplitude of contractions is decreased to 2.5 times in comparison with a standard, reactive phase is diagnosed. The peak amplitude of contractions decreased in 2.5-4 times in comparison with a standard shows toxic phase, while terminal stage of acute peritonitis is indicated by decrease in the peak amplitude of contractions in 4.5 times and more.
EFFECT: possibility to diagnose the clinical course phase of acute peritonitis by electrogastroenterocolonography.
