FIELD: medicine; traumatology and orthopaedics.
SUBSTANCE: arched pin-track fragments of length 5-8 cm are delivered round a wound along its full length through skin, subcutaneous fat, fascias, muscles in one stick outside-in and prick put inside-out provided the whole pin-track fragment except its ends is distanced 2-3 cm from the wound edge within tissue. The pin-track fragments are locked with ligatures, and each ligature covers the pin-track fragment by insertion from the wound wall, passing round the pin-track and delivered outside through the same wound wall in immediate proximity from the insertion point. The following tensioning of the ligature ends matched with the opposite pin-track fragments ensure approximation of the pin-track fragments and wound edges.
EFFECT: uniform traction of skin, subcutaneous fat, subjacent fascias and muscles while closuring the deep defects of investing tissues, approximating the wound edges in its full length regardless of its pattern.
