FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns internal combustion engines. A rotary engine comprises one or more mobile profiles essentially concave and a fixed convex elliptic surface. The mobile profiles are constrained around the fixed convex surface to generate a cubic capacity in-between. The rotary engine accommodates a chamber constrained by an external wall of the chamber, a back wall of the chamber and an internal wall of the chamber surrounding an isolated part. The chamber has an inlet hole, an outlet hole and an ignition hole. The concave profile is movable within the chamber and interacting while sliding with one or more external wall of the chamber and the internal wall of the chamber. A crank pin is mounted on the concave profile. A crank plate receives the crank pin and actuated therefrom. A crankshaft is arranged so that it passes through the isolated part and is connected with the crank plate. An end plate, the concave profile, the back wall of the chamber and the internal wall of the chamber form a capacity chamber. Method of continuous torque generation within combustion stroke of the rotary engine involves capacity formation and motion of the profile essentially concave around the fixed convex internal wall of the chamber by the profile panning along the external wall of the chamber.
EFFECT: increased torque and capacity per a unit of the engine capacity.
