FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric equipment of test stands used for testing of roller chains or chain gears. Chain gear test stand includes drive motor and load generator, which stator windings are connected to output of voltage regulator and shafts are interfaced through chain gear containing roller chain under testing, driving and driven sprockets; thereat synchronous machines are used as motor and generator. Stand also contains exciter consisting of voltage transformer, rectifier, control devices in exciting circuits of motor and generator and switch devices. Moreover synchronous generator and primary winding of transformer is connected through switch devices to output of voltage regulator, secondary winding of transformer is connected to rectifier input; exciting circuits of motor and generator consisting of exciting winding and regulating devices, for example of resistors, are connected to rectifier output in parallel.

EFFECT: reduction of power costs for chain gear testing.
