FIELD: electronics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed synchronous motor that can be used for driving turbomachines and miscellaneous machines and mechanisms of medium and heavy unit power requiring no speed control has main and additional three-phase stator windings whose first leads are connected to three-phase transformer; primary winding of the latter is connected to power supply; additional winding of motor is connected to transformer through switch; second leads of stator winding are interconnected at common point; it also has uncontrolled three-phase rectifier whose ac leads are connected to second leads of additional three-phase stator winding and dc leads, to field winding leads of synchronous motor. Three-phase transformer also has tapped secondary winding whose taps are connected to motor stator windings.
EFFECT: reduced power loss in transformer-motor unit.
