FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: to prevent post-injury gonarthrosis after fracture of tibial condyle combined with fracture of the tibial shaft, the mechanical axis of limbs is moved directly during osteosynthesis of the fracture of the tibial shaft by grafting a plate well-moulded at the preoperative stage with angular stability. For fracture of the lateral condyle, the shin-bone is repositioned with overcorrection of varus angle by 2-3 degrees from healthy limb. For fracture of the medial condyle, the shin-bone is repositioned with overcorrection of valgus angle by 2-3 degrees from the healthy limb.
EFFECT: reduced risk of destruction of articular cartilage or slowing down of this process, faster restoration of functions of the joint.
