SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition. Proposed artillery piece charge comprises case with steel sabot and self-combustible casing which features wall thickness making, at least, 1.5 of sabot wall thickness. Aforesaid case houses powder batch and combustible locking elements. Sabot height makes 0.29 to 0.38 of combustible part of case extending above the sabot end face. Note that fire-conveying orifice diametre makes 0.25 to 0.85 of igniter threaded seat.

EFFECT: 5 to 7%-increase in muzzle velocity, 1,2 to 1,8-decrease in gas content in combat compartment, stable combustion of powder batch.
