ARTILLERY SHOT OF SEPARATE CHARGING WITH VARIABLE PROPELLANT CHARGE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC F42B5/38

Abstract RU 2707830 C2

FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment, in particular, to ammunition with separate charging consisting of several parts. Artillery shot of separate loading with variable propellant charge comprises front warhead with explosive substance and detonating fuse, which housing is made with a sharp aerodynamic surface, adjacent to it stern part, which body is shaped to truncated cone, and rear part, which is a propellant charge. Propellant charge consists of separate weight parts formed from plastic powder mass with solidification into rigid cylindrical hollow modules, each of which is packed into a combustible shell. In the middle hollow part of each module on its longitudinal axis there installed is a flammable powder element in form of a hollow cylinder with possibility of primary ignition of the module itself and transmission to the next module connected to it. Joints are made up of lock elements on end surfaces of each module. Lower module weight is 2 times greater than each other one. In lower module on its longitudinal axis there is a second easily ignited powder element, with possibility of ignition in combustion chamber of gun from electronic ignition mechanism. On the free end surface of the upper module there is a support and coupling mechanism for connection with a stern part in the form of a collet on the coupling surface of which there are made sharp-edged teeth with the possibility of being cut into the body of the stern part. On the free lower end surface of the lower module there is a separating partition, on its side cylindrical surface there is a driving band and an annular recess with the possibility of laying into the jack of the fighting compartment, on the free end face surface of the partition wall there is a mesh rolling. Blend envelope of module is made by metal method of sputtering of magnesium-aluminum alloy. Warhead used is projectile 3OF45.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to exclude accidental ignition and detonation of artillery shots during production.
