FIELD: ammunition, in particular, design of artillery charges and may find a wide application in production of artillery charges of powders of all types. SUBSTANCE: the charge has a weight of grain powder with a channel diameter-to-burning arch thickness ratio equal to 0.31-1.22. The weight is positioned in the burning body fastened to a metal tray and provided with a burning fixing element, the body wall thickness is at least 1.5 of the tray wall cut thickness, and the thickness of the wall of the burning fixing element makes up 0.5 to 2.0 of the thickness of the grain burning arch. Provision is made for increasing the shell muzzle velocity by 10 to 12%, decreasing the gas content in the fighting compartment by 2.5 to 3.0 times. EFFECT: provided the required stability of burning of the powder weight and at the same time stable ballistic characteristics due to optimal design parameters of the weight elements. 4 dwg
