METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT OF LATERAL COMPONENT OF ELECROJET ENGINE THRUST VECTOR AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALISATION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G01L5/13

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to force-measuring equipment, namely to facilities for measurement of lateral components of thrust vector of electrojet engines (EJE). Method is suggested for measurement of lateral component of thrust vector based on the fact that EJE is placed one end of movable system of TIU, EJE power supply lines are installed along movable system of TIU with connection of these lines flexible parts to it. Then EJE is started, and lateral force detector readings are taken. Afterwards EJE is disconnected and installed on fixed replaceable bracket near previous area of its location. EJE axis is matched with its axis in previous placement on movable yoke, additional flexible power supply lines are connected to EJE, they are connected to ends of lines installed in movable system of TIU. Then position of movable system of TIU is matched with its position during primary installation of EJE on it, afterwards EJE is started again. Value of lateral component of EJE thrust vector is defined by difference in readings of lateral force detector during the first and repeated start-up. Device for realisation of this method includes movable system of TIU arranged in the form of movable yoke that is installed horizontally and is suspended in twist-resilient suspension, on which EJE is initially installed during the fist start-up, lines of EJE power supply installed in yoke and having flexible areas in the point of transition from movable TIU system to fixed part of TIU system, lateral force detector. Moreover, it is equipped with replaceable bracket for further placement of EJE during its repeated start together with the primary area of its location in movable yoke during the firs start-up, besides, EJE is installed in bracket so that its axis matches EJE axis during its placement in yoke, and additional flexible lines of EJE power supply are brought to bracket, being connected with EJE and appropriate ends of power supply lines installed in yoke.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of lateral components measurement in thrust vector of EJE by exclusion of effect from both electromagnetic interference occurring in process of engines operation and force actions of currents that pass in power supply cables of EJE.
