FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a movable beam lying horizontally and mounted on a resilient suspension. A test electrojet engine is mounted on a movable mount assembly at one of the beam and a counterbalance is placed on the other end. The device also has an optical reading device, which measures torque and a calibration device. The device also has a unit for applying extra force on the beam through the mount assembly of the electrojet engine. This force is applied at the point of the mount assembly which is in the same vertical plane as the geometrical axis of the electrojet engine, and its direction passes through the axis of the resilient suspension. The value of this force is equal to the value of the main component of the thrust vector of the electrojet engine.

EFFECT: more accurate measurement of lateral components of the thrust vector of electrojet engines.
