FIELD: testing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises mounting the electric jet engine on a thrust-measuring device vertically, calibrating the pickup for measuring force in breaks between the test runs by means of its loading with the calibrating force along the vertical axis that is in coincidence with the axis of the electric jet engine, recording output signal and temperature of the site where the pickup is located, and calculating the coefficient of approximation of the dependence of output signal on calibrating force and temperature of the pickup site. The device comprises assembling unit for receiving the electric jet engine to be tested, flexible cables for supplying electric power, pipelines for supplying the fluid to the electric jet engine, pickup for measuring force provided with the converting member, temperature pickup, and means for adjusting the position of the engine. The device is additionally provided with a set of reference weights and a drive for setting them in motion. The engine is mounted so that its axis points upward. The assembling unit is secured to the pickup for measuring force. The pickup for measuring force and drive for moving the reference weights are mounted on a single support plate provided with the temperature gage and mounted in the zone of the pickup for measuring force.
EFFECT: simplified calibration.
