FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for charging storage capacitors (SC) from limited power sources with simultaneous transformerless step-up of the charging voltage. The technical outcome is achieved by increasing rate of supply of energy from the source to the capacitor, as well as reduction of the rated power-to-size ratio of the primary source. Diode-capacitor rectifiers for voltage multiplier (DCRVM) are used in the proposed five versions of the charging device, which allow for charging the storage capacitor from single-phase, as well as different types of three-phase alternating current sources. The diode- capacitor rectifiers for voltage multiplier "slowly" charge the storage capacitor (for many periods of the supply voltage) with simultaneous transformerless step-up of charging voltage to 4 Utf, 5 Utf, 8.5 Utf and 1 Utf (where Utf - is the amplitude of phase voltage of the source) while reducing requirements for insulating the source.
EFFECT: improved specific and technical-economic indicators.
