FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present invention can be used for charging limited-power storage capacitor from a three-phase alternating current source. When energy from the three-phase alternating current source is transmitted to the storage capacitors, current of each of its lines is limited by pairs of current-limiting capacitors, which store excess energy of the phase of the source in a single half-cycle of varying its current and transmits it to the next half-cycles in the storage capacitor. The method is distinguished by that, currents of the above mentioned source are limited in each phase and summed with linear currents in a rectifier.
EFFECT: improvement of technical and economical characteristics of the charging devices by increasing rate of transfer of energy into the storage capacitor.
