FIELD: charging storage batteries and storage capacitors. SUBSTANCE: each storage capacitor charging device that can be used in pulse engineering as secondary power supply (lasers, reluctance motors, and the like) has three-phase ac power supply, three-phase full-wave controlled bridge rectifier, three current limiting and dosing capacitors, storage capacitor, thyristor voltage and phase control unit, and additional gates connected in compliance with proposed circuit arrangements. As a result voltages across current limiting and dosing capacitors accumulating electrical energy during one half-cycle of supply voltage are added to power supply voltage in other time intervals with the result that charging pulse is generated. In this way storage capacitor can be charged to voltages of Ulva; 2Ulva; 2,5Ulva; 3Ulva (where Ulva is amplitude of power supply line voltage) and also charging speed of storage capacitor, that is, current-voltage characteristic of device can be varied. Proposed devices provide for enhancing amount of electrical energy accumulated in storage capacitor to 900%. EFFECT: improved specific power characteristics of devices due to enhanced speed of energy transfer from ac power supply to storage capacitor. 7 cl, 10 dwg
