SUBSTANCE: invention claims mobile communication device and method of mobile communication device operation. It involves storage of at least one frame of data transfer signal received from network, and application of stream management to lower levels for network re-selection maintenance. According to one aspect of invention, a message is sent to notify that operation mode of virtual unidirectional channel is supported by a mobile communication device. Mobile communication device operates selectively in virtual unidirectional channel mode depending on the response obtained by the next transmission of that kind. Additionally, stream management can depend mainly on detection of inevitable cell change.

EFFECT: improved transmission of services with packet switch to maintain multiple bandwidth modes and high versatility without significant modification of the systems used.
