SUBSTANCE: invention concerns communication system with broadband wireless access, particularly BWA communication system with multiple transmitting antennas. Method and system use first and second transmitter antennas and multiple subcarriers. Each subcarrier covers subfrequency area. Method involves transmission of reference signals for first transmitter antenna identification by second predetermined group of subcarriers in first mini-subchannel. First mini-subchannel is transmitted by first transmitter antenna and covers predetermined time period and subfrequency areas of first predetermined group of subcarriers. Reference signals for identification of second transmitter antenna are transmitted by second predetermined group of subcarriers in second mini-subchannel. Second mini-subchannel is transmitted by second transmitter antenna and covers time period and subfrequency areas of first predetermined group of subcarriers.

EFFECT: enhanced bandwidth of communication system.
