METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF OPTIMUM CONDITIONS FOR PARTS TREATMENT Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C21D7/00 G01N33/20

Abstract RU 2364634 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of mechanical engineering and may be used, e.g. in mechanical processing, electrical spark machining and parts strengthening. Batch workpieces are treated in groups using different treatment mode for each group of parts, surface layer unrelieved stress value for each part is determined depending on unrelieved stresses depths, confidence interval and averaged energy of stressed condition for each group is calculated from the formula: , where: - energy of stressed condition for each group, J/mm2; n - number of parts in the group; i - order number of residual stress measurement; σi - value of residual stress, MPa, at the depth αi; σi-1 - residual stress value at depth αi-1; αi - depth of residual stress set for ith measurement according to c sequential depth scale, mcm; αi-1 - depth of residual stress, preset before ith measurement according to sequential depth scale and located on depth scale before αi, depth; herein, the mode in which averaged stressed condition energy and confidence interval of residual stresses has minimum values will be accepted as optimal part treatment conditions.

EFFECT: providing stable energy state in surface layers of part insuring its high quality.
