FIELD: mechanical industry.
SUBSTANCE: groups of parts are preliminarily processes, parts of each group - with use of one processing type. Then in surface layer of parts of each group values of remaining voltages are determined and their distribution along length of surface layer, value of their dispersion and value of energy of stressed status of surface layer. By comparing various groups on basis of relation of two last values, type of part processing is selected. Additionally, roughness of parts surface is determined, in accordance to which values of dispersion of remaining voltages are corrected and used when determining type of part processing.
EFFECT: increased precision when determining type of part processing for given conditions of operation.
