FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to rocket engineering and may be used in creation or modernisation of multi-chamber propulsion systems. In three suggested versions of cruise multi-chamber propulsion system design, nozzle extension is arranged as composite from tabs and bottom part, which are joined by flexible elements to each other (in the first two versions) and having system of stops and locks (in the third version). Moreover, tabs with bottom part are installed at power element, which is connected to support frame, with the possibility of their longitudinal and radial displacement from transport position, when tabs enclose the nozzles, and cut of nozzle extension is located higher or at the level of nozzle cut, into working position, in which axes of tabs match axis of propulsion system, and extended composite nozzle extension protrudes beyond cut of nozzles and has diametre that exceeds external diametre of rocket. In the second version nozzle extension with tabs arranged in the form of sector of cylindrical, or conical, or profiled shell with bottom and joined flexible elements, has profiled shape of surface, section of which is equidistant to line that envelopes the nozzles cut from outside.
EFFECT: higher thrust by formation of overpressure areas, which are created whenever engine jets interact with walls and nozzle bottom.
