FIELD: rocket equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rocket equipment and, in particular, to liquid-propellant rocket engines operating on the ground and in the cavity within the missile unit. Method for increasing specific thrust pulse of commercially available liquid-propellant rocket engines consists in increasing pressure in combustion chamber and increasing nozzle expansion geometric extent due to installation of nozzle extension skirt at nozzle section of serial produced chamber or change of contour of last sections of nozzle.
EFFECT: invention provides higher specific thrust pulse and, accordingly, increased payload of launch vehicle brought to near-earth orbit.
