FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting facilities. Backlight device contains multitude of located separately from each other light-emitting diodes (LID), reflector plate, manufactured from transparent optical material, which allows the first surface and the second surface, outfitted by multitude of hollows, and also reflecting plate, located under reflector plate. Side surfaces of hollows allows form, providing the ability of internal reflectance of some of light, emitted by light-emitting surfaces of LID in angular aperture α=±arcsin(l/n) from normal to light-emitting surfaces of LID, where n - refractive index of transparent optical material, herewith at least one of surfaces of reflector plates contains light-outputting device.
EFFECT: ability of usage of diodes of higher power.
