FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: backlight device (10) is fitted with LEDs (11) and a light-guide plate (12) having a light input surface (12a) and a light output surface (12b). An inclined surface (12c) which is inclined from the light output surface is formed between the light input surface and the light output surface of the light-guide plate, and the light-guide plate is formed such that the thickness of the area which is transverse to the light input surface is greater than the thickness of the area on the side of the light output surface. In front of the area on the side of the light input surface of the light output surface of the light-guide plate there is a control element (13) which has a light-blocking property and controls shift of the light-guide plate in the direction of the thickness of the light-guide plate.
EFFECT: high uniformity of light distribution.
