SUBSTANCE: invention concerns area of electronic technique and can be used in systems of data signals restoration and clocking in devices for reading of the information from optical CD and DVD carriers. For achievement of given results in the digital channel decoder for a DVD/CD data stream, containing analogue-to-digital converter, a digital equaliser, a digital comparator, a frequency detector, a digital phase detector, a loopback filter, an analogue input of RF data, an output of regenerated data, an output of regenerated clocking pulses, switching of the DVD/CD mode, a digital lower frequencies filter, a synchro-symbol allotment device from a DVD stream, a synchro-symbol allotment device from a CD stream, the switch of CD/DVD modes and a voltage-controlled generator are additionally entered.

EFFECT: functionality expansion by restoration of data and working range of frequencies, maintenance of smooth reorganisation in this band and synchronous with the bit data stream mode of equaliser operation.
